How to create Sitemap and Table of Content Page for your Site.

There are many ways, in which you can increase and rank your site on the

search engines. One is the submission of your site URL address to the these

search engines.

The creation of sitemap is the first thing you must do before you can create a

Table of contents for your site. It is very important in search engines search

results and also help your site visitor to access all your site contents and articles

in just only one page. This also shows how professional you are and how

Follow this link to create Sitemap and follow the steps below to create the Table

of Contents for your site.

1. Just click New Page or create new page.
2. Click the HTML Button at left hand side at the top near compose button.

3. In the blank space now copy the code below and paste it into the black HTML space.

It is very important for a blogger or webmaster to Know their websites statistics and performance on the web. You can know this by the using of Google webmaster tools, Bing webmaster tools and Alexa and in order to show the statistics of your site Google, Bing and Alexa needs to verify your website.

All the three have various type of verification method like html file upload, XML upload, using domain name provider and more, but what all have in common is Meta tag verification. This post helps you on Meta tag verification for Google, Bing and Alexa. And also it is very important to submit your Website Url to to Google, Bing and Yahoo

The Meta tag verification for Google

Once you added your site to Google webmaster tools you will see an option “verify your site” click and check HTML tag verification method and you will see a Meta tag like this

What you need to do is copy it and paste it to your websites <head> section. If you are using wordpress you can add it from your Dashboard > Appearance > Editor and select header.php and add below the <head> tag and click verify in your Google webmaster tools.

Bing Meta tag verification

In Bing webmaster tools go to “Configure my site” and there you will see “verify your site” open and you will have two options one XML and other Meta tag verification.

You will see a Meta tag verification for Bing like this

Now just copy the tag and paste it below your Google verification code and verify your site in Bing.

Alexa Meta tag verification

In your Alexa Dashboard you can see “claim your site” option in site management. Open and you will be given a verification id like this

[kOGOPOP_KKNKNOpm3Ufdsfdsf_swehnyjmuy] You can use that code and paste it to your <head> section or you can use the code like this <meta name=”alexaVerifyID” content=” kOGOPOP_KKNKNOpm3Ufdsfdsf_swehnyjmuy ” />

Note: To stay verified do not remove these Meta tags from your website.

How to submit your site to Bing – Add your URL

The process is same for what you done for Google. Go to Bing site submit and add your home page URL (http://blogtimenow.com), enter CAPTCHA and submit your site. Now your site will be soon included to Bing.

How to submit your site in Yahoo – Add your URL

Go to Yahoo site submit Yahoo site submit and click “submit your site for free”. It will take you to Bing webmaster tools. Login with you Microsoft account and at the right side in dashboard click “add a site”.

This is how you submit your URL to Google, Bing and Yahoo. Be patient and your site will be soon added to index. Don’t spam and submit your site using any automated software’s.

There are many third party tools for creating sitemap to your site, but if you are using wordpress install Google XML sitemap plugin in your website http://wordpress.org/plugins/google-sitemap-generator/ and submit your site map in dashboard.

Search appearance uses your website to illustrate the elements in Google search results. Click the ? near to search appearance, a pop up window opens which helps to visualize how your site will appear on search results.

This portion is similar to Google analytics that helps you to find top queries and top pages of your site by traffic(No of impression & clicks). It also deals with number of backlinks, Internal links and who links the most to your site.

Google Index shows the index status of your site. It graphs the number of pages and url’s indexed by Google, it analyses the content keyword of your site and its significance .

Crawl Errors & Stats
